Search is changing hands

For twenty years, getting found meant ranking on Google. That era is changing quickly. Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI what to buy, who to trust, and which vendor to shortlist. The model answers. Most brands have no idea whether they are in that answer or invisible to it.

ChatFeatured helps brands become the answer. We give companies the analytics, content execution, and optimization engine they need to understand and improve how they show up across AI search.

This is a new category, and the marketing playbook is still being written. That is the opportunity.

The actual bet

The forecast has us hitting 1,000 customers in less than 16 months. That number assumes competent marketing. With the right person building the growth engine, the ceiling is much higher.

The opportunity in this role is not to inherit a marketing function. It is to create one. You will own the budget, prove the channels, sharpen the message, turn customer success into market proof, and build the team around what works.

We are hiring the person who looks at that mandate and sees a life-changing opportunity.

What you own

You own the marketing engine. Early on, that means being hands-on. Over time, it means building the function and hiring the team.

Concretely, you own:

  • The budget. A real one. You decide which channels we test, where spend goes, and what each dollar needs to return. Paid, newsletters, sponsorships, events, partnerships, retargeting — if it can create qualified demand, it is on the table.
  • The campaigns. You lead campaigns from idea to outcome: audience, message, copy, channel mix, launch, measurement, and iteration. No waiting on a five-person team to get something live.
  • The messaging. AI search is a new category. You help make the problem obvious, the urgency clear, and the ChatFeatured story sharp enough that CEOs, CMOs, CROs, agencies, and growth teams understand why this matters now.
  • The proof engine. Case studies, customer stories, testimonials, references, benchmarks, before-and-after examples, and the assets that turn early wins into conviction for the next hundred customers.
  • The demand engine. Landing pages, paid campaigns, webinars, founder-led content, partner campaigns, outbound support, and whatever else moves pipeline. You care about demos, trials, revenue, and learning velocity — not vanity metrics.
  • The operating system. The CRM, analytics, attribution, automations, AI workflows, and reporting that make the work measurable and compounding.
  • The team. At first, you do a lot yourself. As channels prove out, you hire around them and become the bar the first marketing team is measured against.

This is a big role, but it is not every marketing job at once. You will not be expected to build a full community program, own every part of the brand, run a major event strategy, and manage a large team on day one.

The immediate priority is sharper: build repeatable demand, turn customer success into proof, own the budget, and find the channels that scale.

How we back you

This is not a role where you fight for resources. You get a real budget to deploy against the channels you believe in. You get founder support, customer access, product velocity, and the mandate to experiment.

We expect bets that do not all work. The ones that do are how we get from 1,000 customers to something much bigger.

You will also be dogfooding the product you market. ChatFeatured is an AI-native platform, so the workflows you use to win — content, analytics, optimization, automation — are closely connected to the product we sell. That feedback loop is one of the sharpest advantages in the role.

Who you are

You are a hands-on marketing leader who has built growth from an early stage before.

You are analytical enough to own a budget and make performance decisions, but creative enough to know that messaging, timing, and taste are what make campaigns work.

You are technical in the way modern marketers need to be technical. You are comfortable across CRM, CMS, analytics, ad platforms, automation tools, and AI workflows. You reach for leverage before you reach for headcount.

You can write, or at least recognize great writing. You can shape a campaign, brief creative, edit messaging, and make sure the work sounds sharp, credible, and commercially useful.

You execute like a founder. You ship fast, measure what happened, and use the learning to make the next bet sharper.

Why this seat

You report directly to the CEO. There is no marketing leader above you and no committee to route your ideas through.

You get to build the marketing function from the ground up, with a real budget, real ownership, and a category that is forming right now.

This is a founding-level role for someone who wants to build the engine, not inherit one.

Comp and logistics

This is a founding-level hire and we have built the package to match. Strong base. Meaningful equity, sized for someone taking a real seat at a real inflection point. Performance upside tied to the growth you create.

Remote is fine across the US and Canada. Toronto/GTA preferred.

How to apply

Skip the resume-first ritual. Show us something you built and owned end to end.
